Great lesson. Demian is a fenomenal BJJ fighter, not only did he win his first 5 fights in UFC, but all of those were by submission and in 4 out of the 5 he won the “submission of the night” award. He certainly KNOWS what he’s talking about.
there is one counter where you thread your knee through and peal it off, smashing him with elbows or just regaining a secure sidemount.

You can block the kimura with your leg and then try to pull your other leg out but it isn’t that easy or fast. you’re better off going for the kimura reversal than the arm bar counter.
no u can not, ur leg will be stuck in half guard preventing you from going for the armbar.
