When is the next time ice dancers Maia & Alex Shibutani will be broadcasted on television?

I was wondering when I could manage to catch these two skating on TV. They participated in the Junior Grand Prix, which ended today, but I was wondering if there was a later date or a repeat date anyone knows of. Regionally speaking, when will they br broadcasted in the United States?

I was wondering the same. These days, it’s so tough finding ANY skating on television in the US, much less, junior level skaters. There are webcasts available of some competitions through US Figure Skating’s IceNetwork site http://www.icenetwork.com. This usually requires a paid subscription to watch videos – sometimes live, usually archived – of competitions of any skaters other than the small handful of seniors that manage to get on to televised broadcasts. It doesn’t cost much actually – like $30 for a full year – so if you really enjoy watching young up and comers like the Shibutani’s, you should consider it.

Because the Shibutani’s qualified for the ISU Grand Prix final, they did not need to compete in Sectionals – receiving a bye all the way to US Nationals in January. There will TV coverage from NBC – but again, not sure/doubtful that much from the Junior events will make it to TV (though they are certainly one of the favorites to win another national championship – this time, the Junior title).

Finally – if you go to YouTube – and type in their name, there are some postings. Some get taken down presumably because of TV rights, for when they were broadcast on TV in France or through television coverage from Europe or Asia, where skating remains more popular… at least popular enough for the TV stations to broadcast.

    Hope that helps.
