I oppose federal funding for abortion clinics. And oppose abortion itself except for cases of rape or the mother’s life is at risk.
I support same-sex marriage.
I support adult stem cell research but oppose embryonic stem cell research.
I support euthanasia only when the patient decides.
I support very strict immigration and a very tough stance against illegal immigration (building a large technologically advanced border, adding more border patrol and troops, immediate deportation of detained illegal aliens, reserving citizenship for children born to U.S. citizens, legal residents, and those with non-expired visas.)
I support a fair tax.
I support incentives for companies to bring jobs back to the U.S.
I support the 2nd Amendment 100%.
I support an extremely strong policy to produce 95% of all energy resources in the United States and create energy jobs in the U.S. This includes using only U.S. oil, coal, natural gas, hydroelectric, geothermal, wind, solar, nuclear to produce electricity and giving incentives to auto companies to produce electrical/plug-in cars.
I support a Veteran’s bill of rights to replace the GI Bill and explicitly guarantee and state benefits for anyone who serves in the Armed forces for at least 2 years.
I support replacing large parts of welfare and other social programs with workfare.
You’re a moderate conservative.
The best party for you is “independent”.
Let’s test my theory: would you support incentives to bring US companies back to the US by dropping income and payroll taxes substantially? (Payroll taxes are social security, medicare, federal unemployment, state unemployment, and worker’s compensation.)
If no: you lean liberal
If yes: you lean conservative
If maybe: you need more information and are likely independent-minded
(This is one of the biggest incentives driving companies overseas. The risk of lowering their taxes is that you WILL run afoul of the brain-dead left. They will accuse you of “tax cuts for the rich” and trying to meddle with social security. If you can withstand the belly-aching and imbicilic name-calling, you’re a strong candidate for conservative.)
You’re a Republican
You’re not part of a party, you’re an independent. If you “had” to choose a party, then you should pick the Democrats. The Republicans have become very pure in their ideology where as the Democrats are open to diversity.
Libertarian…
You have mostly Republican views, but not 100%. I would consider you more of an Independent Conservative.
Republican. And I am talking about real Republicans, not the whiny Neo-Con garbage.
Don’t try to ‘fit in’ to a party. Just be yourself and vote the best option. ‘parties’ are useless….
independent who leans more towards the republican
Your stance of abortion disqualifies you from being a Democrat. You have no place in the Dem party if you are against abortion. IT doesn’t help that you oppose embryonic stem cell research, want to crack down on illegal immigration, and that you want to reform welfare.
Of the 2 big parties, you definitely are closer to being a Republican.
However, you are different enough on some issues that you would probably be more comfortable calling yourself an independent.
you are moderate republican —
I am not certain what you mean by energy policy — because this could be private or public
You sound like the average real American, sadly currently no party straddles that fence. Libertarian would come closest to giving you more free choice
Your last statement definitely eliminates the Democrats. You actually believe people should work!
You fit in the Republican party.
I disagree that you’re a libertarian. You’re not socially libertarian, though you may be an economic libertarian. Social libertarians would support choice of all kinds, including abortion, stem-cell research, euthanasia and even (illegal) drug use.
You fit in the Republican party. I strongly oppose your views. I’m a socialist. Democrats like to think that socialism is just liberalism-plus, but their position is far from ours. They support the capitalist class. I do not.
At least you’re not a liberal hypocrite. Liberals believe that the contradictions of capitalism can be “lessened” with “reform.” But today’s liberals are not even reformists.
Edit: By the way, under socialism, there would be no “welfare,” because everyone, including those now of the idle poor and the idle rich, would work a minimal amount of hours, four days a week, or approximately 16 hours a week.
The remainder of their time would be used for developing themselves as human beings, intellectuals, artists, athletes, or whatever else they choose.
Being anti-abortion except in the case of rape or risk of life is a moderate conservative point of view.
Supporting gay marriage is liberal.
Supporting stem cell research and euthanasia are liberal ideologies.
Having a tougher stance on illegal immigration is more of a conservative ideology, but many liberals also share some concern on this issue.
Saying that you support a fair tax isn’t say all that much. Because both liberals and conservatives support different types of a fair tax. Liberals support more of system that favors the lower and lower-middle class (working class). And most conservatives support more of a fair tax that favors businesses… Either way, the government takes way to much from the people.
Supporting incentives for companies to bring jobs back to US citizens is a general American ideology. Barely anyone is satisfied with how their businesses has outsourced jobs.
Supporting the 2nd Amendment 100% is a very strong conservative ideology.
To support the producing of pretty all of our energy sources within American borders is both a conservative and liberal ideology. But they always fight each other on how to go about that.
And supporting anything in support of military personnel is usually a conservative stand point.
… As far as which party you align with, it’s hard to say. You have more of an independent personality. But don’t read too much into the Independent Party. Because they are just a liberal third party who disagree with the Democrats every once in a while… In my opinion, you seem a bit more conservative than liberal. So that would align you more with the Republican Party. You’re either a moderate Republican or a conservative Democrat.
But don’t pay too much attention to what any of us say. Just make sure to pay attention when elections come around. And vote for the candidate who you agree with the most. Don’t let people try to brainwash you how to vote.
