Currently I am in the U.S. Army and I was thinking of joining the Border Patrol when I get out, in a couple of months, but I needed to know more about it. How structured is a entry level Border Patrol Agent’s life compared to the Army? What is the likely hood of me getting a position at the airport in Dallas? Does the pay really shoot from $35,000 to $70,000 in 3 years? Excluding danger and being in a organization that’s generally disliked, why else would someone not like this job? Thank you

I would just like to put this out there, first of all that this will be a bit long.
It starts like this, My mother was arrested for domestic violence about four years ago. She skipped court and had a warrant out on her arrest. Well last week, Saturday she was pulled over and arrested leaving me and he other five children with our grandmother.
Well I have a set of twin brothers and a brother, the twins are 6 and the other is 8 and their father now wants to claim custody of them. I would like to tell you a few things about him though:
He has be absent from their lives since the domestic dispute four years ago, the only time he sees them is two weeks before school starts, to buy them a few things for school. nothing more than that. No holidays, birthdays anything.
Through out the whole four years he has paid no child support to help with the children little less, visit them.
He is an Illegal alien with multiple aliases, with about 4 names. That is solely the reason why my mother could not claim child support, because if she went after him as one person, he just ‘disappears’ and is a whole new person, and nothing she can do about it.
Four years ago when we lived with him, he was constantly abusive, a drug user and on rare occasion could be considered a dad.
Now that my mom is in jail, and cannot get out for 15 more days he filed to claim the children, not because he actually wants them. [He could care less about them.] Because he knows that will hit my mother the hardest. At this point, he is able to pick up the children on Monday just like that.
Which would be allowing those children to enter an unsafe environment with a person who is just so… indescribably horrid.
We have went to the courts and they say they cannot help us, local law enforcement cannot help us, and tomorrow i will be making a few calls.
First the call will be to the U.S Attorney’s Office to report the story, but mainly that he is illegal Immigrant with multiple names and a record of past low prosecutions on all four names, so he should be easily identified.
Second call will be to the FBI, To report the whole story and see what they could do, or any insight they can give me about this situation.
Third will be to CPS. [Child Protective Services.] To tell tem the story first of all, and they really need to check on this guy taking my brothers. Will a violent past history on his record, not to mention that when we lived with his he was excessively abusive toward all of us. And they have been called on him before when we were living there, and action was ceased to be taken.
He knows that he could never get the kids fairly, with my mom out of jail because he has so much against him, he wouldn’t even stand a chance. But with her away right now they are claimable.
So the reason this was all typed, I would like to know if anyone could give me any type of information, suggestions about this situations before i make those calls, or what i can do before and after those calls?
Secondly, If anyone knows anything about gaining custody of a child, or children, can a mother simply sign over a child to the grandmother as guardian? And through jail? And in such a short time? [Monday.]
Things to add:
My mom and this man are still married, After they had the domestic dispute, she skipped court and could not get a divorce with the fear of being busted, and her husband would not do it unless she was going to get busted.
There is proof that there was never any type of child support ever paid, he didn’t care about the kids until this happened and when we did live with him he was a horrible ‘parent.’ [Basic necessities such as paying bills was even an issue for this guy. For two months we went without power, and for one month without gas.]
I am young, under 18, does this affect the chances of me actually getting something done about this?
When she was going to get her domestic classes tooken care of, the counselor happened to be her husbands girlfriend, making it totally corrupt with no other option for my mother.
I am not looking for sympathy right now, only any type of information that could help me keep my brothers here with me safe at my grandma’s house. I would dread to think that my little brothers would go through the pain that we did when we lived with him.
